Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope you all had an amazing turkey day! There are so many things to be thankful for...and knowing you is one of them!

Hello hello hello! I know it's been sooo long since I've posted...but we've also accomplished a lot. I mean A LOT! First of all, we booked the lovely Melanie as our photographer! I've loved looking at all her pictures online, and judging from the emails we've written one another, I think she'll be the perfect fit for our wedding. I'm so excited to meet with her and get the plans under way! Also...we've put our deposit down on our cake, and we got the menu all planned out with Viafore's! Yay! The next thing on our list to do is to register. We're going to register at Macy's (of course), Bed Bath and Beyond, and Crate and Barrel. We're going to go up to Seattle and do all the gun shooting (which Brian is totally excited about). I think we're planning on staying up there on a Sunday and then on Monday hit the Southcenter mall for a little Christmas shopping as well. Kinda like killing two birds with one stone. After that we'll only really have to find a dj and get someone to do our flowers. I think our flowers are going to be pink and orange gerbera daisies, stargazer lillies, and casablanca lillies. That's pretty much it for the big stuff. We'll be sending out the save the dates as soon as we finalize the guest list.

Well, not much has happened other than getting wedding stuff taken care of. Brian and I had a date night on Saturday which consisted of buying fish for his fishtank, dinner, and Heroes. He has his 55-gallon tank all set up and we just added 5 tiger barb fish to start with. We're going to add more after a week or two. We tried a new pizza place in Gig Harbor, and it was really good. It's at the new uptown center and it's a woodfire pizza place. Delicious! It's right next to Ben and Jerry's, so it'll be double delicious in the summer (B&J's closes earlier in the winter)! We had a prociutto and arugala pizza, and wow! It totally took me back to eating pizza at a little place in Rome. We ended the evening back at my house watching the first season of Heroes. We're on our last episodes and I'm totally on edge! If you've never seen the show, it's really good and totally worth buying or renting.

That's all in the lives of Brian and Chrissy. This week is kind of a bummer because we won't really get to spend time together until Thanksgiving. I close tomorrow night and Brian closes Wednesday night. I have to be at work at 4:45am Friday for all the freaks who go shopping at 5am. I'm kidding, they're not freaks...well, they're only freaks if they don't buy anthing from me :). Anyways, hope all is well with you all! And if I don't talk to you before hand...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Oh what busy lives we lead!

Wow! I never realized just how busy I am until I sit down at the computer and realize it's been awhile since I've updated! Life is wonderful...working working working as usual. Working retail is definitely slow right now. Not a lot of people shopping in this economy. I've been trying to keep busy though, and I've had a couple trips to Seattle for work to keep me occupied. In fact, I have a manager's meeting in Seattle tomorrow...boy I'm sure glad my little Cooper gets amazing gas mileage!

We're getting more things done for the wedding! Thanks to Molly, I'm almost 100% sure we have a wonderful photographer. I'm really excited and I hope it all works out. We're going to set up a meeting with both the caterer (Viafore's...so yummy!) and the cake place. We're still in need of a good dj, so I'm keeping my eyes and ears open! I can't believe the wedding is less than 7 months away! It's going by so fast, but I feel like it's not fast enough! I guess I just can't wait to be married and to be able to come home to him every night and start our lives together. Ah! I love him so much!

I got the chance to go to a wonderful bridal shower for one of my bridesmaids. Miss Lindsay Joy, who was one of my best friend's in college, is getting married January 3. She's so happy and I'm so happy for her. Her maid of Honor, Jessie, put on the best shower. It was so fun! She gave me some really good ideas...for both the party and what to register for, which is one of the next things we're going to cross off our list.

All this writing about what we've accomplished and what we still need to do has my mind spinning. I need to put it to use and start looking stuff up, so I'll update again when I get a second! Love you guys!

Posting pics for the first time!

Hi! So as I predicted, this weekend was very busy. Tiring even...yesterday I was so pooped! It was a lot of fun, though. Celine, the birthday get together, and especially the engagement photo session was extremely fun!

First of all, Celine Dion puts on one hell of a show. It was frustrating getting there, though, because the cops shut down several entrances to the TDome and TDome area. That resulted in us sitting on the exit ramp for a little under 2 hours. The paper said she took the stage at 9pm, and we sat down at about 9:40. So we missed seeing some, but we got to hear her as we were walking up towards the dome. She sang my favorite song "To Love You More" and she even sand the Titantic song, but we missed some of Brian's favs. His heart will go ooooonn.....

After the show we went to El Toro on Pearl St. for the birthday karaoke. There were definitely some interesting people there...and I'm not just talking about all the Macy's people :). Everyone had already had a couple drinks by the time we got there, and they were all drunk by the time we left. I wish we could have stuck around longer, but we had pictures the next day and I couldn't be all puffy! Apparently, all the good stuff (aka drunk drama) happened after we left. Oh, well, I'm just glad we finally got to go out with those guys...we usually have something going on when the department has get togethers!

Now for the good stuff...the engagement pictures! I'm so glad Sara and Aaron were able to come down and take them. Aaron did such a great job, and Sara was a fabulous creative director. It was fun having lunch and seeing both of them. We saw Sara not too long ago, but it's been years since we've seen Aaron! We shot the pics down at Sunnyside and the weather turned out perfect! The sun was out and the sky was blue. When we were wrapping up, there was a couple getting married down on the beach. It was so fun to see! Engagement pics and a wedding all in the same afternoon at the same location! Anyways, here are some of our favorites! Enjoy!

He was saving me from falling off the log!

This is one of my favorites!

Okay, so I'm kind of getting the hang of this...but I'm sure it'll take awhile before our profile looks super cool like some of the other ones I've seen. Well, Brian and I are slowly but surely accomplishing some wedding projects. We started out strong right away, but have kind of slowed down because of work and such. Brian has been working REALLY long days at Best Burgers and since I am now the counter manager at Clarins, I've been bogged down with some more responsibilities. I was pretty much doing the same thing while the previous counter manager, Kim, was on vacation and getting ready to get married, but now all the results are on my head. If the counter doesn't do well, I get to hear about it! So my dress is hanging on the closet door, which is killing me because I want so badly to be able to wear it. I have a feeling It'll be like that episode of Friends where Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe are sitting on the couch in the wedding dresses and drinking beer. Except instead of beer it'll be some sort of cocktail :). We met with St. Charles and have started the paperwork process of getting married in the church. We have to take a "Catholicism 101" class and do the "Evenings for the Engaged" classes, as well as take a 45 minute questionnaire which will be scored and then given to a marriage counselor (which funny enough is my friend Jake's dad) where we'll discuss the results. As far as everything else...we just have to finalize the cake and the caterer, but we could really use some ideas for photographers and djs. There are just so many out there, we don't know which one to choose! So any and all ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

This weekend is going to be a busy one! We both work tomorrow and then we're going to the Tacoma Dome to see Celine Dion!! Brian's mom and dad gave us tickets for Christmas last year. I remember thinking that it was so far away...and now it's here! After the concert we're going to El Toro for some kareoke for one of my coworkers birthday. Sunday is back to wedding stuff (and hoping the Seahawks finally win). Sara and Aaron are coming down and we're all going to Sunnyside for our "engagement photo session" with Aaron the photographer. I hope the weather holds out! Wish us luck!

Hope you're all doing well! We'll chat more soon!

The Flajoles are here!

Okay, so calling ourselves "the Flajoles" is a little premature, but I'm just so excited to be married to the love of my life. We want to share all our adventures with everyone, and I figured this would be the perfect way to do so!

So I guess I should say, in case you didn't already figure it out...Brian and I are engaged! He proposed in Venice, Italy on a moonlit gondola ride. So romantic! It was the perfect ending to a perfect European getaway. I won a trip to Poland on Wheel of Fortune (crazy, I know) and we decided to extend our trip 10 days so we could travel around Italy. Italy was by far our favorite. We went to Rome, Cinque Terre, and ended in Venice. I'll post some pictures later. I think I need to start out slow on this thing...I'm not that computer savvy. I'll keep you up to date on wedding planning...it's coming along slowly but surely. The wedding date is May 30, 2009. So if anyone has any wedding tips, I'd love to hear them. I'm glad we have 7 months, because we have SO much to do, but at the same time I CAN'T WAIT TO BE HIS WIFE!

Alright, that's enough for now. More to come soon!
